About Game:
Dark Avenger is a new release from the
Korea-based Gamevil and indie developer Boolean Games. It is a typical
dungeon crawler and currently available as a free download for iOS.
The game features gameplay similar to
Dungeon Hunter 4, another action RPG released on iOS not long ago.
Neither game has tampered much with the existing dungeon crawler
formula. In Dark Avenger, the player can control one of three different
male-only character classes: Templar, Archer, or Mage. As evidenced by
the game’s relatively small 51 MB size, the developer has done little to
establish a storyline, create outstanding graphics, or arrange opening
scenes. The player will just build a character and start immediately
hacking and slashing across the dungeons, stage by stage.
The game is controlled using a virtual
thumbstick and attack buttons, which is a common approach among
touchscreen action games. The thumbstick appears where the player
touches and is for moving the character. The button for basic attack is
located prominently on the right side of the screen, and can be pressed
rapidly for combos.
